Job description

About Us

We are a group of companies operating in the IT, system integration, telecommunications, and infrastructure projects sectors.

We are looking for Radio Engineers to work with radio equipment and wireless networks – from site surveys and radio coverage planning to equipment configuration, commissioning, and technical support.

This position is for a technical specialist who is interested in working with radio systems and independently taking responsibility for the technical outcome on real-world projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and determine optimal locations for radio equipment and antennas.

• Plan radio coverage areas and calculate radio links.

• Select radio equipment, gateways, antennas, cables, connectors, and other components.

• Prepare technical specifications and diagrams for the installation team.

• Configure and commission radio equipment, gateways, and network devices.

• Configure Ethernet, PoE, LTE, and IP connections.

• Verify radio signal level and quality, analyze RSSI, SNR, interference, and losses, and optimize radio coverage.

• Diagnose faults in radio equipment, antenna feeder systems, and network paths.

• Supervise the quality of antenna installation, cabling, grounding, and lightning protection.

• Participate in the acceptance of installation work and provide technical support to installers and operational staff.

• Maintain diagrams, equipment datasheets, configurations, and technical reports.

Candidate Requirements

• Higher or secondary vocational technical education in radio engineering, telecommunications, communications, or electronics.

• At least 2 years of experience working with radio equipment or wireless networks.

• Knowledge of radio wave propagation principles and radio network construction.

• Understanding of antenna characteristics and the ability to calculate radio link budgets, considering losses in cables and connections.

• Understanding of radio interference causes and methods for their detection.

• Knowledge of IP networks, Ethernet, PoE, TCP/IP, DHCP, and routing fundamentals.

• Ability to read and develop structural diagrams and equipment placement plans.

• Skills in using measuring equipment: spectrum analyzer, signal level meter, cable tester, and multimeter.

• Ability to work with manufacturers' technical documentation.

• Willingness to travel to sites and participate in commissioning work.

Advantages

• Experience in designing or operating LoRaWAN and IoT networks.

• Knowledge of LoRaWAN architecture.

• Experience working with base stations, telemetry, radio relay, LTE, or Wi-Fi networks.

• Skills in using radio planning software, mapping systems, or AutoCAD.

• Experience configuring Linux, VPN, VLAN, routers, and LTE modems.

• Understanding of grounding, lightning protection, and outdoor equipment installation requirements.

• English language proficiency at a technical documentation reading level.

• Category B driver's license.

Important Requirement

We need a practicing Radio Engineer capable of independently surveying a site, performing necessary calculations, selecting equipment, configuring the system, and identifying the causes of technical problems.

It is important to understand not only the characteristics of individual devices but also the operation of the radio system as a whole – from antenna placement and radio link calculation to configuration and achieving stable communication.

Personal Qualities

• Analytical and systematic thinking.

• Independence in solving technical problems.

• Attention to detail in calculations and equipment configuration.

• Responsibility for results and adherence to deadlines.

• Ability to clearly assign tasks to the installation team.

What We Offer

• Salary based on interview results.

• Work on real radio and telecommunication projects.

• A combination of engineering work in the office and on-site work.

• Work with various radio equipment and wireless networks.

• Opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibility.

Who This Position Is For

If you have practical experience with radio equipment or wireless networks, can conduct surveys, perform calculations, configure equipment, and independently troubleshoot technical issues, this position could be the next step in your career.
